At MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology), we’ve been carrying out commercial archaeology, research projects, and community engagement in the intertidal zone for over 30 years.

This includes our award-winning:

  • Thames Discovery Programme (since 2011)
  • CITiZAN, the Coastal and InterTidal Zone Archaeological Network.

CITiZAN is one of our largest-ever citizen science projects and the forerunner to Coasts in Mind. Using the CITiZAN app, more than 2,000 people have helped record archaeological features from the Scottish border to the shores of the Scilly Isles, before they can be lost to erosion or washed away.
