Join Aedan and Kelly from the Sefton team for FREE introductory talk to the Coasts in Mind Project
Online - Wednesday 17th September 2025
Our changing coastlines reflect our changing lives. We’re exploring how changes in the climate and local industries over the past 100 years have affected the coastline. From fishing and shrimping to the tourist economy at Southport, we’ll be recording community experiences of coastal change. Coasts in Mind is a new project funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund that is mapping these changes, using the memories, archives, stories, and experiences of the people who live and work around the Sefton coast.
Join us online from the comfort of your own home for this free talk, to learn about this community heritage project, how you can get involved, and to meet the team. Register for your free ticket to receive the joining link.
Later in the month on Tuesday 23rd September, we'll be officially launching the Coasts in Mind community archive! Sign up for the free guided demonstration on Wednesday 24th September to understand how your memories will be recorded with real examples of stories from people on the Sefton Coast. If you would like to help us to preserve the heritage from Crosby to Southport, then this event is also for you.
