Memory Walk with Age Concern

13th May 10:30am to 14:30pm

Coasts in mind have partnered with Age Concern for a relaxed 3-mile memory walk along Crosby beach sea front to discover how the coastline has changed and discuss memories of the area. We will be focussing on:  

• Storm damage at Blundellsands 
• The Blundellsands Key park 
• The build up of sand dunes over the promenade 
• Crosby Beach 
• Crosby marine Lake 

Concluding at a local cafe with a memory workshop incorporating historic photographs, we aim to encourage older people to share perceptions, memories, stories and experiences of coastal change. Keep an eye out for more similar activities and get in touch through social media or email to find out more!
