From the Isle of Sheppey and Sittingbourne through Faversham to Whitstable, this unique coastline has played pivotal roles on the national and international stage throughout the ages. Over the last 100 years, huge shifts in industry, economy, climate and ecology have shaped the communities that live here as well as the natural and historic environments.

Join us at anytime from 10am - 3pm for a free interactive drop-in session at the Kent Archaeological Society Excavation, Front Brents Car Park (next to the Albion Taverna pub) where you can share your:

  • Stories and memories of the area
  • Local postcards
  • Holiday snaps and photos
  • Diary entries

There will be local archaeological finds for you to explore and our friendly team will be on hand to record local knowledge and help map your memories of change.
